Developed a Custom "Link-in-Bio" Platform to Streamline Commercial Printing Workflows
The Business Problem
Fototypo a local commercial print shop was successfully designing and printing physical business cards for their clients, but they were hitting bottlenecks when clients requested digital, QR-linked versions of those cards.
- Lack of Platform Ownership: The print shop was relying on external subscriptions to deliver a core part of their own product. They had no control over the features, pricing, or the underlying platform.
- Generic Customer Experience: Handing a client a standard, third-party URL diluted the print shop's brand value. They wanted to provide a premium, cohesive digital product, but were constrained by the limitations of consumer-focused platforms.
- Rigid, Unoptimized Workflows: External tools are built for single users managing their own profiles, not a B2B print shop trying to manage and update hundreds of distinct digital cards for different clients.
The Solution
I designed and developed a clean, lightweight internal application tailored exactly to the print shop’s production pipeline, giving them full ownership of their digital offering.
- Frictionless Profile Creation: A clean dashboard where staff can create digital "business card" profiles for each customer, easily adding logos, names, titles, phone numbers, and social links.
- Automated QR Generation: The system automatically generates the exact QR code needed for the physical print, linking directly to the new, custom digital version.
- Centralized Client Management: A multi-tenant architecture that allows the print shop to easily search, edit, and manage all of their customers' digital profiles from a single, secure login.
